To make the Christmas trees, first we painted a white piece of paper green. Then we put them in the hall to dry. When it was dry we drew a tree on the back and cut it out. Then we got white paint and painted the branches. We had to use upward strokes to make it look like snow on the branches. We added details by dipping the end of the paint brush into red or yellow paint to make the decorations.
To make the snowmen we cut out three circles out of white paper. We glued them together and out lined them with black. When you outline something it makes it stand out more. Then we drew on the face and buttons. Finally we cut out hats and scarves and arms. Each one is original!
Abby thought it was fun because we got to put our own ideas into making the snowman. Jake likes the way they look on the bulletin board because some snowmen are hiding in the trees. Si Woo enjoyed the activity because she likes arts and crafts. Katie, Lily and Rylan liked it because they really like snowmen. Jefferson, Valerie and Savin like to decorate things. Isabell really enjoys painting. Dominic liked it because he thought the snowmen and Christmas trees go well together.
